Congratulations! You have arrived at one of the largest and most active EAA chapters in the southeastern USA. EAA1114 offers something for every aviation interest in central North Carolina: homebuilding, vintage, warbirds, ultralights, fly-ins, fly-outs, workshops, aviation history and good old hangar flying.
EAA1114 now has an IMC Club coordinator, Jan Squillace! Jan spoke about IMC Club at our regular monthly July meeting. See the contacts page for contact info. IMC Club meets the first Tuesday of each month, 6:30pm, at the Wings of Carolina Flying Club facility. Check it out!
EAA1114 meets twice monthly at Cox Field (NC81), located just north of Apex, North Carolina, "The Peak of Good Living", and once a month at the Wings of Carolina Flying Club facility at KTTA:
- Every 3rd Saturday of the month at 8AM for our world-famous pancake breakfast followed by a guest speaker describing some facet of aviation. See our award-winning NEWSLETTERS for examples.
- Every 1st Friday of the month, 6-7 PM, Builder Chat & Movie Night. 7-9 PM, free, family-friendly classic aviation movie showing. BYOS - Bring Your Own Snacks.
- Every 1st Tuesday of the month, 6:30PM, IMC Club, at the Wings of Carolina Flying Club facility at KTTA.
EAA Chapter 1114 has one of the world's leading Young Eagles programs, with numerous nationally recognized coordinators and volunteers. For details on the next rallies, see our YOUNG EAGLES page.
Many chapter builders are also members of the Bear Creek Aero Club, where aircraft are constructed and flown by Club members.
