Welcome to EAA Chapter 1114!

Congratulations! You have arrived at one of the largest and most active Experimental Aircraft Association chapters in the southeastern USA. We're also #2 in total Young Eagles flights!

EAA1114 offers something for every aviation interest in central North Carolina: homebuilding, vintage, warbirds, ultralights, fly-ins, fly-outs, workshops, aviation history and good old hangar flying.

*New* Have you dreamed of learning to fly but were never able to make it happen? We're looking into adopting the EAA Flying Start program to help you make this dream come true. We will connect you with an instructor and supportive team, and shepherd you through the entire process. If that sounds like something of interest, drop us a note and let us know!

We're planning a one-of-a-kind "homecoming" event for our summer picnic on May 19. Chapter founders, all current and former members, and anyone otherwise involved in the Chapter, are invited. Mark your calendar and come join us for a pig pickin', live music from the Counterclockwise String Band, awards and recognition, static aircraft display, and fly-overs by Chapter members the Bandit Flight Team! E-vites will be going out in a few days.

*New* If you missed the last Regular Chapter meeting, you missed a good one. Video is now available on the Meeting Videos page. Chapter member Andrey Piskarev explains how to design and build a motor glider with a 40-foot wingspan that has an amazingly lightweight airframe. This presentation was thermally and convectively uplifting.

Planning for Young Eagles events for 2018 is well under way!
Details are on our Young Eagles page.
