EAA1114 offers something for every aviation interest in central North Carolina: homebuilding, vintage, warbirds, ultralights, fly-ins, fly-outs, workshops, aviation history and good old hangar flying.
*New* - Our world-famous pancake breakfast meeting is coming up on July 20th, Chapter member JP Bernoux will bring us up to date on electric propulsion with A Brief Flight Over the Electric Aircraft Industry.
*New* - Power Lines and runways don't mix - After Bob Barrows' recent accident involving a power line on approach to land, we're helping identify any airports where power lines interfere with the runway. If you know of any examples, please send a short description, including the airport, runway, description of power line, approximate height and distance from end of runway, whether marked or not, maybe photos, and any additional relevant details to our facilities coordinator. Thanks for your help!
*Recent* - Our recent Young Eagles rally at KDAN was a success with 128 kids flown. Beautiful day for our rally during the airport open house. The folks at Danville put together an awesome montage video that can be found here.
