Below is a picture of my Sonex project. The project took me 1000 hours and 5 years to complete. The first flight was in October 2008 as a Tri-Gear configured Sonex. In 2010, I converted it to a taildragger and I've been very happy with the conversion. The airplane cruises at 140-150 mph burning 6.5 gph.
Things unique to my Sonex...I have a Jabiru 3300 120HP 6 port fuel injected engine, Electric Flaps, and all the bells and whistles you could want.
Upcoming Projects/Additions: Wheel Pants, Wing Leading Edge Tape, Hangar Wing Covers, Custom Tug and Towbar. Flap to Fuselage Seals.

Here is the first posting of an EAA1114 project. The Bear Creek Aero Club, formed by EAA1114 members and headquartered at the Bear Creek Skunkworks (Terry Gardner's hangar at Eagles Landing, Pittsboro, NC), is completing its first project, a rare Stits SA-7D Skycoupe. This airplane, designed by the famous Ray Stits, was one of the most popular homebuilts of the 1960s. You'll find our main blog at this link. General Aviation News published a brief article on our efforts on 9/1/2011, read it here. Below is an image of a completed Skycoupe.
