About Me
Was a Naval Aviator with over 5000 pilot hours mostly in the multi-engine P-3 Orion aircraft (VP-5, VP-56, VAQ-33) and the single engine T-34C (VT-6). Also flew the LC-130 Ski-Herc in VXE-6 in Antarctica for 3 years. Retired from the Navy in 1994. Then worked for the Air Force as a government support contractor for 20 years at the Air Armament Center at Eglin AFB Florida as a Systems Engineer. Worked on many aircraft related programs including GPS instrumentation programs, air to air weapons programs and the QF-16 program (droned F-16 Full Scale Aerial Target). Retired for a second time and moved up to North Carolina in 2014 with my wife Geri (who was a Navy Nurse when we met). We have been married for over 35 years and have 2 children and 2 grandchildren. Picture above is my grandson and me at the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola Florida in front of a painting showing an LC-130 doing a ski takeoff in Antarctica.
